Visiting Hours

Planning to visit someone at Catharina Hospital? Here you’ll find information about our visiting hours-, and visiting regulations.

General visiting hours
Direct relatives, family and friends are welcome to visit between 16.00 and 20.00. There’s a maximum of two visitors per patient at the same time. For one direct relative of the patient (Partner, child, parent or sibling) we offer the possibility to be present from 11.00 to 13.00 and 14.00 to 21.00. Between 13.00 and 14.00 no visitors are allowed. We ask you to respect this ‘resting hour’ for all patients.

Different visiting hours

Some departments have different visiting hours and have additional requirements:

Intensive Care (IC), Medium Care (MD and Coronairy Care Unit (CCU) 13.30 to 14.15
18.45 to 19.45
Individual appointments possible during 24 hours
Cardiothoracic surgery 13.30 to 14.15
18.45 to 19.45
Children’s department 14.00 to 19.00 Parents and brothers and sisters throughout the day
Psychiatry 18.00 to 20.00 Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays also from 14.00 to 15.30
Obstetrics 10.00 to 12.00

15.00 to 20.00

For partners:
Maternity suites: 24/7
Multiple person rooms: till 22.00
Resting hours: 12.00 to 15.00
Geriatry 13.30 to 14.30
18.45 to 19.45
Individual appointments possible
Nuclear medicine 10.00 to 21.00 Up to 1 hour per visitor, per day.
Because of the radiation, children under 10 years of age and pregnant women may not come to visit. No visit is allowed on the first day after the radioactivity is administered.
